The
people in California have recognized the need for improved
school facilities and there has been a substantial amount
of work done over the past few years. School work is very
competitive with more than ten contractors bidding against
each other on most projects. Sausal Corporation has been
able to develop competitive bids using efficient crews and
subcontractors. In the past five years over thirty school
projects have been completed in eight separate Districts.
In addition to being competitive, Sausal provides excellent
service and the school districts we work for can provide
some of our strongest recommendations. The resources developed
in the competitive school market are also key assets for
private clients.
COMMERCIAL
INTERIOR RENOVATION
Many
clients find that their existing facility might need to be
expanded and/or updated. Typical improvements include seismic
upgrades, handicap access (ADA), floor plan configuration,
additions, or simply new paint and carpet. Sausal has the
ability to design your space improvements and assist in planning
from the earliest conception. Sausal also has the experience
and expertise to construct the improvements under varying
conditions such as phased work or after-hour work to minimize
disruptions.
PUBLIC
WORKS
Public
works projects are generally very competitive and include
substantial compliance documentation. Sausal has been able
to put together successful competitive proposals and still
provide excellent service. Projects have been completed for
federal, state and local agencies throughout the Bay Area.
At the FAA Control Center in Fremont, Sausal built a structural
steel mezzanine over the controllers while maintaining flight
and shipping operations throughout the western region. Upon
completion the FAA recognized Sausal as one of their top contractors.
When the State of California had to relocate the Cypress Freeway
in Oakland an older fire station had to be relocated. Sausal
was the low bidder on a contract that included input from
the City of Oakland, the State, and two Federal agencies.
Sausal complied with the requirements of all of the agencies
and also earned a substantial bonus for early completion.
